House Interior
Fire damage (including smoke damage and fire-fighting damage) was confined to the lounge, dining and kitchen areas predominantly in the ceiling space.
The fire appears to have started in the lounge with charred flooring and wall and window framing and then continued upwards severely damaging the rafters and attached roof purlins immediately above the lounge. The fire has then travelled down the length of the ridge charring rafters along the way over the dining and kitchen area.
The ceiling insulation has suffered severe fire and heat damage and will require replacement.
There is significant smoke and heat damage throughout the building and the ceilings have been pulled down (firemen activity) in bedroom 3, the entry and hallway and kitchen and dining rooms.
House Exterior
The timber roofing structure has been severely charred and will require replacement. There is also fire, heat and smoke damage to the exterior wall cladding around the lounge and front and back entrances including damage to the joinery, soffits, fascia and spouting which will require replacement.
