House Interior
Fire damage (including smoke damage and fire-fighting damage) was confined to the kitchen and dining area predominantly in the ceiling space.
The fire appears to have started in the rangehood above the stove in the kitchen and then continued upwards severely damaging the rafters and attached roof battens immediately above the stove.
The ceiling insulation has suffered severe fire and heat damage and will require replacement.
There is little smoke and heat damage throughout the building but the ceilings have collapsed/been pulled down (firemen activity) in the kitchen and dining room and hallway.
House Exterior
The exterior of the house has fire damage to the weatherboards around the kitchen and dining windows and the back entrance. The kitchen window will require replacement as will the soffit, fascia and guttering along the north west side of the building.
